The system (1) has a compartment that is arranged with a set of batteries (2) i.e. lithium-ion battery. A ventilation pipe (10) is arranged in the compartment for connecting cells of the batteries outside of a vehicle (20) to evacuate ventilation gases. The ventilation pipe goes up towards an exit device of the vehicle located at top of the compartment. A small side drilling and a principal exit are arranged in the system, where the exit is accessible from outside of the vehicle. The exit comprises a stopper to form a chute to allow filling of the compartment by liquid. An independent claim is also included for a hybrid or electric car.
