The electrode has a current collector (5), and a nanostructured copolymer provided on a surface of the collector. The copolymer includes an electrically conductive main chain and an ionic conductive side chain. The copolymer includes an electrically conductive core (7) including the main chain and an ionic conductive sheath (8) including the side chain. The main chain includes an electric conductive polymer e.g. poly 3, 4 ethylene dioxy thiophene. The side chain includes an ionic conducting polymer e.g. poly oxyethylene. An independent claim is also included for a supercondenser.
