The switch (6) has two electric connectors (10, 12) comprising two sets of channels, respectively. A commutation ring is rotatably mounted relative to the connectors and comprises brushes. The ring adapts a number of different positions with respect to the connectors. The latter set of channels is connected to the former set of channels to form pairs of the connected channels. The former set of channels is inactive and free of connection with the latter set of channels. The former set of inactive channels is formed different in the positions of the ring. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a measuring system (2) a method for maintaining a measuring system.
