Light source for guiding a user's attention directly to an article in a home environment

A device 11 is provided for supporting a person 12 in a home environment 10. The device 11 has a light source 13 for projecting a luminous object 14,15,16,17 onto different articles 20,21,22,23 in the home environment 10. The luminous object 14,15,16,17 may be a light marker to highlight articles, or an area of light 28 on a projection surface 27 to display instructions. The light source 13 may comprise a spotlight, a laser and/or a projector. The articles may include a moveable everyday article including an RFID tag 35. The articles may comprise a clock, a television set, and/or a pair of spectacles. The invention is particularly suited for drawing a users attention directly to a task to be performed, or for assisting a user in locating a lost article.
