摘要
A first (e.g. mapping) processor 36 generates an adjacency map of adjacent areas 46, 48 within a building 28 from an information model (BIM) 34 thereof. A second (e.g. triangulation) processor 38 translates the adjacency map into a minimal group of triangles 50, 52 covering the areas, each triangle comprising adjacency information derived from the adjacency map. A route processor defines a route 56 between user-supplied first and second locations by using the triangle adjacency information to identify a minimum set of the triangles forming a continuous path. The mapping processor may extract geometric information (including wall and door locations) from the BIM to generate the adjacency map. The triangulation processor may translate each adjacent area into a closed polygon representation and split it into the minimal group of triangles. Triangle centre points 54 may identify guard patrol checkpoints. The route may avoid triangles according to their security level.
