摘要
Non-invasive blood glucose concentration sensing includes detecting neurophysiological brain activity of a user 110 during visual pigment regeneration in an eye 114 of the user 110, and correlating the sensed neurophysiological brain activity to the glucose concentration in the blood of the user 110 (the regeneration of visual pigment in the eye is dependent on blood glucose concentration). Bleaching light 112 is emitted into the users eye 114 using a light source 102, a visual perception task is presented to the user via a display 104, and electroencephalogram (EEG) signals are measured using sensors 106. The visual perception task and EEG measurement may be based on Event Related Potentials (EVP) or Steady State Evoked Response Potentials (SSVEP). Environmental sensors 126 may be provided to increase the accuracy of the correlation.
