Discernment of prenatal sex in humans by real-time PCR

A method for discerning prenatal sex in humans by real-time PCT comprises the following steps: taking a sample of peripherical blood from a woman in the 12th week of pregnancy or later; obtaining a desoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) eluate; storing the eluate at 4°C; amplifying the DNA eluate by real-time PCT using a fluorescent probe, DYS14: 5'-TCGGCCTTTCTAGTGGAGAGGTGCT-3'(BHQ), and a mixture of primers that includes the DYS14F2 primer: 5'-CTTCTGGGCCAATGTTGTATCC-3' and the DYS14R2 primer: 5'-CTGCCCATCGGTCACTTACAC-3'; identifying the presence of a sequence by means of a fluorescence signal, the presence of the fluorescence signal indicating the male sex and the absence of the fluorescence signal indicating the female sex, in the peripheral blood sample with the amplified DNA. The mixture of primers and the kit for discerning prenatal sex in humans by real-time PCR are also disclosed.
