DATA MANAGEMENT MECHANISM IN EMERGENCY FOR WIDE-AREA DISTRIBUTED MEDICAL INFORMATION NETWORK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a medical information network which can safely and surely provide medical information in an emergency on a communication network.SOLUTION: A method for providing medical information includes the steps in which: a second computer holding decryption information receives encrypted medical information of which decryption is requested by a first computer; the second computer determines whether the second computer itself holds decryption information for decrypting the encrypted medical information; the second computer inquires a third computer that performs authentication and registration of encryption information related to the first computer whether the first computer is authenticated; and when the first computer is authenticated, the second computer acquires the encryption information related to the first computer from the third computer, decrypts the encrypted medical information by using the decryption information, encrypts the decrypted medical information by using the acquired encryption information, and transmits the decrypted medical information that is newly encrypted to a transmission source having transmitted the medical information.
