PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a software complexity measurement apparatus capable of quantifying reverse dependency of dependency relationship among a plurality of constituent units of similar granularity in a piece of software having a hierarchical structure.;SOLUTION: A software complexity measurement apparatus computes an index value representing a relationship between the number of forward dependency paths and the number of reverse dependency paths in dependency relationship among a plurality of constituent units of similar granularity in a piece of software having a hierarchical structure. In doing so, the number of forward dependency paths between a pair of constituent units may be counted as "1" even if a plurality of forward dependency paths exist between the pair of constituent units, and the number of reverse dependency paths between a pair of constituent units may be counted as "1" even if a plurality of reverse dependency paths exist between the pair of constituent units.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
