PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve timing accuracy related to PET image pick-up.SOLUTION: An optical detector repeatedly outputs an event signal for each detected event. Each of the plurality of after-pulse detection units detects after-pulses outputted by the optical detector and originating in an after-event accompanying a photon generation event of an event signal repeatedly outputted from the optical detector, and outputs after-event signals in accordance with the detected after-pulses. A determination processing unit repeatedly receives after-event signals from the plurality of after-pulse detection units, and determines the relative delay amount among signal paths on the basis of a plurality of after-event signals originating in the same after-pulses from the plurality of after-pulse detection units.
