PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an application processor which is capable of efficiently executing processing of sensing data received from a sensor module when the sensor module senses an external state with a preset period.SOLUTION: The application processor includes: a main central processing unit which operates based on an external main clock signal received from an external clock source in an active mode; an internal clock source which generates an internal clock signal; and a sensor sub-system which executes processing of sensing data received from the sensor module with a preset period in either the active mode or a sleep mode and, in this case, operates based on the internal clock signal or an external sub-clock signal received from the external clock source in accordance with an operating speed required for processing of the sensing data.
