PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parameter estimation device which improves the estimation precision of a detected device parameter without considerably reducing an arithmetic speed.SOLUTION: A parameter estimation device includes: a state quantity actual measurement unit 11 which acquires a plurality of actual measurement values about a state quantity having correlation with a plurality of parameters, at prescribed time intervals; a state quantity arithmetic unit 12 which calculates and acquires arithmetic values corresponding to the plurality of actual measurement values respectively on the basis of a correlation formula between estimated values given as the plurality of parameters and the state quantity; and an optimal estimated value specification unit 13 which obtains an error evaluation function value calculated on the basis of a value obtained by multiplying the sum total of absolute quantities of errors of the plurality of arithmetic values corresponding to the plurality of actual measurement values by a first coefficient and a value obtained by multiplying a variation degree of errors by a second coefficient and performs estimated value specification processing of specifying an optimal estimated value minimizing the error evaluation function value while varying one or more of the estimated values.
