PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it unnecessary for divers to dive and remove the bottom material which deposits in a door body storing space of a storage part.;SOLUTION: A stand-and-lie gate type breakwater closes a port entrance by making a door body 1, which is stored inside a door body storing space 2a formed in a storage part 2, stand up. It comprises: a seawater tank 3 which takes in seawater into it up to the level equivalent to that of high tide during high tide; a water supply pipe 4 whose one end opens at the bottom inside the seawater tank 3, while the other end, upon the pipe running over the top of the seawater tank 3, opening between the floor face 2aa of the door body storing space 2a and the opposite-sea face 1b of the door body 1 in the door storing space 2a; and a water drainage pipe 5, whose one end opens opposite the other end opening 4b of the water supply pipe 4 while the other end of itself opening to the sea area 6. The water supply pipe 4 is provided with a supply-water valve 7 which is usually closed, while the water drainage pipe 5 is provided with a check valve 8 which only allows the outflow of seawater in the direction from the door storing space 2a to the sea area 6 side. With this way, it is possible to discharge the bottom material accumulated in the door body storing space with the effect of tide level change without divers diving.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
