PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ammonia occlusion release material using a substance having smaller molecular weight than CaCland larger occlusion weight of NHper 1 g under a pressured situation by several air pressures at room temperature or equal to or less than several tens of temperature than the occlusion weight of CaCl.SOLUTION: An ammonia occlusion release material contains at least one substance selected from LiBH, NaBH, Mg(BH), Ca(BH)and NHBH, which are borohydrides (borohydride compounds) of metals or ammonia. The substance is preferably any one of LiBH, NaBHor NHBH, more preferably NaBHor NHBH.
