PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resident watching device for watching the action of a resident in a residence by effectively combining a human detection sensor and an acceleration sensor with an elderly person requiring watching of their life style as an object.;SOLUTION: Data detected from both a human detection sensor installed in the residence of a resident who becomes an object to be watched and an acceleration sensor mounted by the resident is received, and the whereabouts of the resident at a certain time is estimated from the former, and the action of the resident specified for the start time of the action is estimated from the latter. Through the combination of the estimated whereabouts and action of the resident, the action and the state of the resident and the event occurred in the residence of the resident difficult to determine from only one of the human detection sensor and the acceleration sensor, respectively, are determined, and information relating to a more specific life style of the resident can be collected.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
