PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inattentive driving warning apparatus configured to improve comfort and reliability, while preventing unnecessary warning.;SOLUTION: An inattentive driving warning apparatus 1 includes an inattentive driving warning part 10 which detects a line-of-sight direction of a driver of an own vehicle, determines inattentive driving when the line-of-sight direction of the driver continues to be directed at a left side area or a right side area of the own vehicle for a threshold time or more, and outputs warning to the driver. The inattentive driving warning apparatus includes: a surrounding vehicle direction calculation part 16 which calculates a direction where a surrounding vehicle is located with respect to the own vehicle, on the basis of the position information of the surrounding vehicle acquired by an inter-vehicle communication receiving part 12; and a threshold changing part 17 which sets the threshold used in the inattentive driving warning part 10 to a second threshold which is larger than a first threshold to be used when no surrounding vehicle exists around the own vehicle, in the case where the line-of-sight direction of the driver is directed at the area in which the surrounding vehicle calculated by the surrounding vehicle direction calculation part 16 is located, among the left side area and the right side area.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
