PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scintillator which uses zinc oxide as a light-emitting material and emits visible light in response to impinging radiation, a production method for the scintillator, and a radiation detector, a radiological inspection device, and an α-ray detector including the scintillator.;SOLUTION: A scintillator 1 is provided, on at least one principal surface of a substrate 11, with a light-emitting layer 12 for emitting light in response to impinging radiation. The light-emitting layer 12 includes a zinc oxide single crystal in which the m-plane constitutes the light-emitting face, the zinc oxide single crystal constituting the light-emitting layer 12 being doped with the element sulfur.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
