PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save power consumed by an external storage apparatus during communication with a wireless communication apparatus.SOLUTION: In response to a request from the wireless communication apparatus, the first controller of the external storage apparatus transmits moving image data stored in an HDD unit of the external storage apparatus to the wireless communication apparatus via a first wireless communication interface and when a notification that the transmission of the moving image data has been completed is given from the wireless communication apparatus, the first controller temporarily stops the operation of the HDD unit of the external storage apparatus.
