PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a product reading device that can read information of products without largely replacing a procedure for products with bar-codes and products without the bar-codes.;SOLUTION: A product reading device comprises: a function of identifying a product included in an image from the image taken by an imaging unit; and a function of identifying a data code attached to the product included in the same image. It is possible to switch between the functions via switching means.
