PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator door system enhancing safety while preventing any drop in working efficiency.;SOLUTION: A camera 8 for photographing a predetermined range SA set in the vicinity of a gateway 9 of a cage 3 is disposed in the upper portion of the cage 3. A control device 10 analyzes the video information from the camera 8 to detect whether a user U is present or not. In the case the user is detected, the control device 10 specifies the position and the speed of the user, and decides if the user can ride on the cage 3, on the basis of the open/close state of a door 5 and the position and speed of the user. In the case it is decided that the user can ride, the control device 10 delays the closing speed of the door 5 more than the present speed.
