PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively improve a degree of precision in multi-feed determination and enable effective multi-feed determination even for s sheet-like recording medium that is not stored in a non-volatile memory.;SOLUTION: A multi-feed detection device includes an ultrasonic oscillation part 23A, a reception sensor 23B, a multi-feed determination circuit 209 for determining the multi-feed of a sheet-like recording medium, and a control part. The control part includes a non-volatile memory 211, an external input part 27 and a threshold adjustment circuit 212. The threshold adjustment circuit 212 has a function to initially set three thresholds used for the multi-feed determination according to the specification information of the conveyed sheet-like recording medium, and change and set one or more of the three thresholds according to a reception level concerning the sheet-like recording medium in the course of its conveyance.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
