PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for separating a neodymium magnet from a motor that is a mainstream electrical motor for automobiles and that has such a shape that a magnet is adhered onto a surface of a rotor.;SOLUTION: A disassembling device is configured of: a chuck part holding a rotation shaft of a rotor of a surface-magnet-type AC-drive synchronous motor; a chuck part having a plurality of pawls for holding a cover provided outside the rotor; a high-frequency heating mechanism part heating the rotor; and a vibration exciter mechanism part giving the rotor vibration or impact. In the disassembling device, after the rotation shaft of the rotor and an outer periphery of the rotor are held by means of the shaft-holding chuck part and the cover-holding chuck part having the plurality of pawls, respectively, the shaft-holding chuck part and the cover-holding chuck part having the plurality of pawls are separated from each other, and thereby, the cover covering a surface of the rotor is removed. Thereafter, a neodymium magnet attached to the rotor is heated to its Curie temperature or higher by the high-frequency heating mechanism part, and then, vibration or impact is added to the rotor, this process performing demagnetization and separation of the neodymium magnet.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
