PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel porous polymer complex, a gas adsorbent having excellent properties using the same, and a gas storage device and a gas separation device accommodating the gas adsorbent having the properties.SOLUTION: There are provided a novel porous polymer complex represented by the formula (1), [MXY](1), where M is a bivalent transition metal ion, X is a flexure type bidentate ligand containing 3 to 4 benzene rings, Y is a pyridyl type bidentate auxiliary ligand and q is 0 or 1, n is one showing properties that many constitutional units consisting of [MXYq] aggregate, and the size of n is not limited especially, and having a square grid structure, a use thereof as a gas adsorbent, and a gas separation device and a gas storage device using the same.
