PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of preventing upgraded low rank coal from absorbing moisture and generating heat after an aging process.;SOLUTION: There is provided an aging device 100 for reducing natural heat generating property of upgraded brown coal, in which the aging device comprises: a treatment container 1 into which upgraded brown coal is filled; and an air blower 2 which supplies gas (gas for aging) containing oxygen to the treatment container 1. A control unit 4 of the aging device 100 is configured to adjust oxygen concentration in gas for aging, which is supplied to the treatment container 1, based on a detection value of an in-container thermometer 10 which detects temperature of the treatment container 1, and adjust humidity of gas for aging to prevent upgraded brown coal in the treatment container from being dried by temperature rise due to partial oxidation.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
