PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To clearly identify a boundary between different tree species in an image of trees captured from the sky.;SOLUTION: A tree species identification device comprises: a storage section which stores optical spectrum data as an identification object and reference spectrum data including a mixed reference spectrum where spectra of respective tree species are mixed on the basis of a mixture fraction of two or more tree species; and a tree species identification section which identifies the tree species on a boundary by using the mixed reference spectrum stored in the storage section when identifying the tree species from a degree of similarity of a spectrum shape by comparing the optical spectrum data with the reference spectrum data.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
