PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat insulating knitted fabric or a heat insulating woven fabric excellent in heat insulation property, suppressing the occurrence of fuzz, free from damage to an under yarn during raising, and maintaining stretchability even by being repeatedly washed.;SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a knitted fabric or a woven fabric by raising a fiber yarn 2A, and covering a core yarn 3 with the raised fiber yarn 2, includes: inserting the multifilament fiber yarn 2 into a raising instrument to evenly raise in a length of 0.02-0.5 mm around the multifilament fiber yarn 2; covering the core yarn 3 with the multifilament fiber yarn 2 evenly raised in a length of 0.02-0.5 mm around the multifilament fiber yarn 2 to form a covering yarn; and supplying the covering yarn 6 made by covering the elastic core yarn with the raised multifilament fiber yarn 2 to a knitting machine to knit a knitted fabric of socks and underwear.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
