PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for estimating the number and the yield of Hevea brasiliensis plants, the method able to remotely and easily estimate the number and the yield of Hevea brasiliensis plants.SOLUTION: The method for estimating the number and the yield of Hevea brasiliensis plants according to the present invention includes: a step of capturing image data containing tree crowns of Hevea brasiliensis plants, in a device equipped with an image processing unit; a step of binarizing the image data; a step of calculating a plant cover rate of Hevea brasiliensis plants per unit area based on the binarized image data; and a step of estimating at least one of the number and the yield of Hevea brasiliensis plants based on the calculated plant cover rate.
