PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a wire od having a fine pearlitic structure by a method capable of mass production without causing the increase of equipment.;SOLUTION: A high carbon steel wire rod comprising carbon by 0.55 to 1.1 mass% is heated to 850°C or higher to form its structure into a completely austenitic structure, is thereafter worked at 650 to 750°C at a strain amount of 0.2 o 1.0 and also at a strain velocity of 2 to below 10/s, and is cooled to 500°C at a cooling velocity of 10 to 50°C after the working.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
