PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a patent value ranking device that excludes room for subjective view as much as possible and has a simple structure.SOLUTION: A patent ranking device for ranking multiple patents in descending order of patent value includes means for: extracting multiple pieces of patent process information item data, with respect to each of the patents; giving a rank value R to each piece of the patent process information item data; using the rank value to perform conversion into an S value on the basis of a function F; using the S value as a variable to perform a factor analysis; and ranking the patent value on the basis of a factor score for each patent calculated through the factor analysis. The function F monotonically increases or decreases, and an absolute value of the rank value R in a plot positioned at a midpoint between a maximum value of the S value and its minimum value is equivalent to or greater than a half of the absolute value of the maximum rank value R in the patents.
