PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable excellent transmission/reception of plural streams as a single stream to/from external equipment.;SOLUTION: A composite stream obtained by combining plural streams is transmitted to external equipment. Processing information for processing each packet of the composite stream is output in conformity with the transmission timing of each packet and held for a fixed time. For every packet of the composite stream transmitted to the external equipment, both the packet and the processing information output in connection with the packet concerned are added with count information of predetermined bits which are successively incremented.
