PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for tuning an optical signal by using a bandpass filter, in order to avoid fading by eliminating the sideband, and to suppress carrier of an optical signal, simultaneously with elimination of the sideband, in order to enhance optical modulation index (OMI) for the optical signal, while maintaining linearity of the system.;SOLUTION: This system includes a terminal for generating an optical signal. By modulation, the optical signal contains a carrier of wavelength (λ) having an upper sideband and a lower sideband. A tuner is connected with a terminal in order to adjust the wavelength (λ) of the carrier of an optical signal for the bandpass filter. There is two purposes. One purpose is to eliminate the sideband of an optical signal in order to avoid fading by this adjustment, and another purpose is to suppress the carrier of an optical signal in order to enhance OMI, while maintaining linearity of the system.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
