PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide composite particles wich allows for production of a powder magnetic core having high filling factor and high permeability, and to provide a production method capable of producing the composite particles efficiently, a powder magnetic core produced using the composite particles, a magnetic element including the powder magnetic core, and a portable electronic apparatus including the magnetic element.;SOLUTION: A powder magnetic core is obtained by mixing composite particles 5 and a binder, and then molding the mixture. The composite particle 5 has a core particle 3 composed of a soft magnetic metal material, and a plurality of coating particles 40 composed of a soft magnetic metal material and fused to the core particle 3 so as to cover the core particle 3, and a coating layer 4 is formed of a plurality of coating particles 40. When the vickers hardness of the core particle 3 is HV1 and the vickers hardness of the coating layer 4 is HV2, following relationship is satisfied; 100≤HV1-HV2. When one half of the projected area equivalent circle diameter of the core particle 3 is r and the average thickness of the coating layer 4 is t, following relationship is satisfied; 0.05≤t/r≤1.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
