PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce hunting in a hydraulic pump unit under a limited horsepower, the hunting being caused by a delayed response of pump discharge pressure to a flow rate command value.;SOLUTION: In a horsepower limiting apparatus, a horsepower limiting controller 7 includes: a Parallel Feed forward Compensator (PFC) 9 for outputting a compensation value Pf that compensates a discharge pressure P detected by a pressure sensor 5, on the basis of a flow rate command value Qc after limiting the horsepower, commanding a hydraulic pump unit 102 to limit the horsepower of a discharge flow rate; a flow rate limit value calculation unit 11 for calculating a limit value Qm for the discharge flow rate of the hydraulic pump unit 102, on the basis of a compensated discharge pressure P' derived from the compensation value Pf outputted from the PFC 9 and a preset horsepower limit value Wm of the hydraulic pump unit 102; and a flow rate limiting unit 12 for outputting the flow rate command value Qc after limiting the horsepower, on the basis of the flow rate limit value Qm calculated by the flow rate limit value calculation unit 11 and a flow rate command value Qd for commanding the discharge flow rate of the hydraulic pump unit 102.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
