PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a novel hydroxyapatite-based fluorine adsorbent, which is inexpensive and has high fluorine adsorption capacity, and to provide a fluorine adsorbent.;SOLUTION: Hydroxyapatite is precipitated on a surface of heavy calcium carbonate particles by adding a phosphoric acid solution with pH adjusted to 2.0 or more and less than 7.0 to heavy calcium carbonate powder or granules containing heavy calcium carbonate powder and causing reaction of the heavy calcium carbonate powder with phosphoric acid at 20°C or more and 50°C or less. This enables simple production of a fluorine ion adsorbent which is inexpensive and has good fluorine adsorption capacity.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
