PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an accessory for viewing an image, in which a high light transmittance is obtained in a transmissive state while the light transmittance in a light-shielding state is suppressed low, and a high contrast is obtained between the light-shielding state and the transmissive state, and to provide a method for manufacturing the accessory for viewing an image, and a liquid crystal shutter for viewing an image to be used for the accessory for viewing an image.SOLUTION: Stereoscopic glasses 200 include: liquid crystal shutters 20 of a shutter 20L for a left eye and a shutter 20R for a right eye, composed of liquid crystal cells including liquid crystal molecules LC of a ferroelectric liquid crystal material; and a drive circuit 210 for applying a drive voltage to drive the shutter 20L for a left eye and the shutter 20R for a right eye based on a control signal supplied from a liquid crystal display device 100. The liquid crystal molecules LC are tilted from a position corresponding to a half of an angle formed by a first polarization axis 52 and a reference axis 55 when no drive voltage is applied, toward the first polarizing axis 52 or the reference axis 55.
