PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily allow accurate determination of whether a peripheral vehicle performing an inter-vehicle communication with an own vehicle coincides with a peripheral vehicle detected by an autonomous sensor of the own vehicle.;SOLUTION: An ECU 1b for peripheral vehicle identification has a second feature quantity coincidence determination section 19 which determines whether a prescribed feature quantity of other vehicle transmitted from an ECU 1b for peripheral vehicle identification of the other vehicle via an inter-vehicle communication coincides with a prescribed feature quantity of the own vehicle, and a first transmission type change section 20 which changes the type of the prescribed feature quantity to be transmitted by a vehicle information transmission section 11 when the second feature quantity coincidence determination section 19 determines that the prescribed feature quantities of the two vehicles coincide with each other.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
