PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide reduction of molybdenum trioxide and a production method of low oxygen-content molybdenum powder.;SOLUTION: The method includes: a step of charging a first reducing agent and molybdenum trioxide on a micro-sieve located on an upper portion of a bracket provided in a body, so as to be in direct contact with each other, a step of charging a second reducing agent in the bracket, a step of coupling the body with a cover, and a reducing step performed by raising an internal temperature of the body. The reducing step preferably includes: a first reducing step due to direct contact between the first reducing agent and the molybdenum trioxide; and a second reducing step due to evaporation of a second reducing agent. The first and second reduction reactions are performed at a temperature in a range of 550 to 650°C, and a temperature in a range of 1,000 to 1,200°C, respectively. The calcium constituting the first reducing agent has a particle size different from a particle size of the calcium constituting the second reducing agent. Metal molybdenum powders having an oxygen content of 3,000 ppm or less can be obtained by using the method.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
