PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a long round cross-section material classification facility in which even when a plurality of long round cross section materials comes into between one pitch of a chain conveyor with pawl, classification exceeding a specified number is prevented without delaying the conveyance.;SOLUTION: A long round cross-section material classification facility includes: a conveyor control part 30 for controlling driving and stoppage of a chain conveyor 3; a first number detection sensor 10 for detecting the number of long round cross section materials K existing in a pitch P corresponding to a position for classifying the long round cross section material K; and a second number detection sensor 20 provided on a further upstream side than the first number detection sensor 10 by one pitch or more; wherein the conveyor control part 30 accumulates number detection information from the first number detection sensor 10, and when the accumulated number reaches a prescribed number smaller than a specified number, if it is determined that a value, obtained by adding the number of long round cross section material K existing in a prescribed pitch P counted on the basis of the detection number information from the second detection number sensor 20 to the accumulation number, exceeds the specified number, the chain conveyor 3 is stopped.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
