PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that, since a lid of an U-8 container frequently used as a container for gamma-ray radioactivity measurement is a screw lid, fitting is imperfect, in the case where the container falls down or is inverted by closing the screw lid after the container is filled with water or soil, water may leak or fine particles of soil may intrude into a screw part, thereby reducing sealability, further, in the case of a liquid sample, it is unstable whether leakage can be prevented at all the time, and resistance to acid of a cesium extraction liquid or the like from soil is not taken into account.;SOLUTION: A method of encapsulating a sample at low cost and efficiently includes the steps of: placing a commercially available resin plate processed into the same circular shape as a container opening part removing a screw lid of an U-8 container over the opening part of the U-8 container filled with a sample; and closing the screw lid.
