PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To individually compute d-axis inductance and q-axis inductance and to shorten the time required for measurement.SOLUTION: A measuring method of inductance of a permanent magnet synchronous motor includes the steps of; (a) of applying a voltage for measurement with such an electric angular velocity as not to rotate a rotary part to a stator in a stationary part of the permanent magnet synchronous motor; (b) measuring a response current flowing in the stator while utilizing a stationary phase of the rotary part which is stopped with respect to the stationary part, in parallel with the step (a); (c) differentiating the response current by means of a digital filter; and (d) computing inductance of the stator by inputting the response current and the differentiation of the response current to a prepared converter.
