PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a design block production method and a design block production apparatus each capable of molding a design block having an abundant designability.;SOLUTION: In a design block mass production apparatus furnished with: a molding mold frame 20; a base layer material supply box 108 for supplying, from above, a base layer material Wa into the molding mold frame 20; a surface layer material supply box 11 for supplying, from above the base layer material Wa, a surface layer material Wb; and a press mold 14 configured to be mobile between a press position for pressing, from above, the base layer material Wa filled into the molding mold frame 20 and a standby position retreating upward from the press position, an aggregate supply box 30 housing an aggregate and a scatter means for scattering the aggregate housed within the aggregate supply box 30 are configured, whereas, on an occasion where the surface layer material Wb is filled into the molding mold frame 20 from the surface layer material supply box 11 and where the surface layer material supply box 11 then retreats, the aggregate K is scattered onto the upper surface of the surface layer material Wb within the molding mold frame 20 from the aggregate supply box 30 by the scatter means, whereas the surface layer material Wb within the molding mold frame 20 is subsequently pressed by the press mold 14 so as to induce the encroachment of the scattered aggregate K into the upper surface of the surface layer material Wb.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
