PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fatigue-damage-degree evaluation method for a connector of an electric-car line which performs fatigue-characteristic evaluation on the basis of the transfer function, obtained by a random-wave vibration test, in order to perform quantitative evaluation of the fatigue durability of a connector of an electric-car line.;SOLUTION: A fatigue-damage-degree evaluation method for a metal fitting of an electric-car line is configured as follows. A pseudo random-wave vibration test is performed by applying a pseudo random wave to a connector 3 of an electric-car line. The transfer function of the connector 3 is calculated by the pseudo random-wave vibration test. An impulse response function is calculated from the transfer function. The impulse response function is convoluted to excitation displacement of a trolley wire in order to estimate a strain waveform occurring in a connector lead wire 4. Waveform counting processing is performed by a reinflow method so as to count the number of occurrences of each strain amplitude. The fatigue damage degree of the connector during passing of one car of a train is calculated on the basis of the pre-calculated fatigue characteristic curve of the connector lead wire 4 and a modified Miner's rule. The total number of passage trains is roughly estimated on the basis of the assumed usage period of the connector 3 so as to determine whether the total fatigue damage degree exceeds 1 or not.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
