PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact ignition coil device that can provide reliable insulation breakdown and a spark discharge with a high-discharge current.SOLUTION: The high-frequency discharging ignition coil device includes: a capacitor 116 connected to a high-voltage terminal and inhibiting a high voltage from passing therethrough; and an inductor 117 connected to the capacitor 116 and coordinating with the capacitor 116 to constitute a band-pass filter allowing only a prescribed frequency component to pass therethrough, where a high-frequency current is fed to the inductor 117 from the outside. The high-frequency discharging ignition coil device also includes a current level detecting device 115 for detecting a level of a current flowing through the inductor 117. The current level detecting device 115 is disposed in the same package with a primary coil 111, a secondary coil 112, the capacitor 116, and the inductor 117.
