PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soft ground liquefaction countermeasure structure capable of achieving sufficient liquefaction prevention effect by combining an underground wall arranged along an outer periphery of a structure and a seismic isolation device even when an interval of the underground wall is wide.;SOLUTION: A ground liquefaction countermeasure structure 1 comprises: a structure 2 supported by a foundation 7; and an underground wall 6 surrounding the ground 3 immediately beneath the structure 2. A seismic isolation device 8 is installed between the foundation 7 and the structure 2. The foundation 7 has a retaining wall 71 erected along a periphery section thereof. An outer surface of the retaining wall 71 slidably contacts an inner surface of the underground wall 6 so that the structure 2 can move downward. Structural inertia force in a horizontal direction due to an earthquake is reduced by the seismic isolation device 8 and the reduced structural inertia force is then transferred to the underground wall 6 through the retaining wall 71. Thus, the ground liquefaction countermeasure structure 1 reduces external force due to the structural inertia force acting on the ground 3 immediately beneath the structure 2, thereby reducing shear stress of the ground 3. In contrast, the ground liquefaction countermeasure structure 1 increases effective stress of the ground 3 by allowing a whole load of the structure 2 in a vertical direction to act on the ground 3 immediately beneath the structure 2.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
