PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single-walled carbon nanotube having peculiar electronic characteristics and/or optical characteristics.;SOLUTION: The single-walled carbon nanotube comprises at least two regions, in which the at least two regions have different characteristics from each other. A vertically aligned single-walled carbon nanotube multilayer film is also disclosed, which includes apparently at least two layers each essentially comprising vertically aligned single-walled carbon nanotubes.
