Water, which is heated by the secondary system liquid Na in a steam generator 6, turns into steam. The steam passes through a main steam pipe 12 and a steam supply pipe 21 before reaching a cooler 20 in a decay heat removal system 17. The primary system liquid Na heats liquid Na in a heat transfer tube of a heat exchanger 18 installed in the reactor vessel 2. The heated liquid Na, which goes up through a decay heat removal system pipe 19A and reaches a heat transfer tube 25 of the cooler 20, is cooled by the steam, so that the decay heat is removed.
