Provided is a guidewire (1) which is housed in a guidewire feeding device, passes through a puncture needle connected to the guidewire feeding device, and is introduced into a blood vessel. The guidewire has a straight main body (2) and a first curved part (3) provided in a curved shape that is contiguous with the tip end of the main body. The radius (r1) of curvature of the first curved part (3) is no greater than the blade surface length (R) of the puncture needle.
