PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method for correctly estimating optical absorption coefficient distribution of a specimen.;SOLUTION: In an apparatus 1 for measuring concentration, a plurality of detectors 80 detect light receiving intensity of scattered light from a living body at a plurality of light receiving positions of different distances from an irradiation position of the measured light. A section 140 for estimating an optical absorption coefficient distribution estimates an optical absorption coefficient distribution of a specimen with the use of the light receiving intensity detected by the detectors 80, a propagation optical path length model in which the propagation optical path length is determined according to the distance from the irradiation position, and a non-absorption scattered light intensity model in which light receiving intensity is determined according to the distance when optical absorption is zero.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
