PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing section steel with identification marks, formable of the identification marks having a predetermined dimension even when a speed difference is generated between circumferential speed of a portion of a rolling roller in which a carved mark is formed and passage speed of the section steel in a contact position with the rolling roller during application of the identification marks to the section steel in rolling.;SOLUTION: The carved mark formed on the rolling roller is transferred to the section steel, so as to form a transfer mark having the same shape as that of the carved mark. By pressing an end in the rolling direction of the transfer mark by the rolling rollers, the identification mark having a predetermined shape is formed. A speed difference between the circumferential speed of the rolling roller in which the carved mark is formed and the passage speed of the section steel made to pass between the pair of rolling rollers is calculated. Based on the speed difference, deformation amount in the rolling direction of the transfer mark is calculated beforehand, and the length in the rolling roller circumferential direction of the carved mark is increased by the deformation amount with respect to the length in the rolling direction of the identification mark.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
