PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method by which burst danger can be evaluated conforming to the dynamic characteristics of a vascular wall in a living body.SOLUTION: In a method and a system for estimating a burst blood pressure, a blood pressure change in one pulse is measured by a blood pressure measuring apparatus, and a shape change of a vascular wall at the time of a minimal change of the blood pressure is photographed by a vascular wall shape measuring apparatus. A tangential stiffness ratio of the vascular wall is continuously calculated from the shape change of the vascular wall in the minimal blood pressure change at this time, and the burst blood pressure of the vascular wall in a living body is estimated from the change of the tangential stiffness ratio accompanying an increase in blood pressure without bursting the vascular wall.
